Covers have been very neatly plasticized.  215 pages of photos and copy about the Bay to Breakers Race.  Slight wear and soiling at edges, very good plus.

Considering its age this book is in very good condition. There is foxing, lots of wear to the covers and the back hinge is suspect. The paper? labels on the spine are mostly missing.

Maroon covers with gold lettering on front.  79 pages plus index.  Lots of drawings and photos of early locomotives.  908 wrtiten on upper coraner of FFE.  Foxing on back of Frontis and facing page and title page remainder of book is clean.

Black covers with red lettering on front and spine. 284 pages with lots of photographs of old San Francisco. Previous owner name of FFE in ink.

Maroon covers with gold lettering on front and spine. Slight shelf wear at corners. Previous owner ink signature on inside cover. Copyright 1914 on copyright page no other edition information.

Condition is very good for children's book.  Clear plastic is worn at edges and loose at 1/4 of front cover.  Corners worn through.  Interior is almost pristine with a few smudges.

Previous owner inscription on front endpaper.

Signed by the author on limitation page.  In slipcase no dust jacket as issued.  Originally published by Caxton Printers in 1965.  New foreword by Robert E. Blesse.  Historical fiction.

115 pages of poems. Inscribed by the author's daugher in 1950. The author lived in Anza, California high in the San Jacinto Mountains.

Corners bumped. Includes title catalogue, author index, publisher index and first line index. 79 pages. No additional printings noted.

Gray boards with gold letteirng on front and spine. Hinges are black. Very attractive book plate on front endpaper. Frontis reproduced from etching by J. E. Kelly. Preface by Robert Ross.

Cream colored wraps encased in original silver chemise and silver slipcase. Glassine dustjacket over wraps is worn at front edge otherwise complete. Frontis and eight full page illustrations and two illustrations in text by Alastair (Baron Hans Henning Voigt) all present. Three page Foreword by publisher Harry Crosby. This is Exemplaire (copy) number 40 of 100 numbered copies on Hollande Van Gelder Zonen paper. Colophon states there were 13 additional copies, 9 lettered A to I and four numbered I to IV. Small Errata slip bound in at colophon. Included is a rare postcard sized Black Sun Press Editions Narcisse advertisement or prospectus in red and black listing the five books available, including this one, and three others "in preparation". Attractive book plate of Francis E. Bliss on inside of front wrap. Slipcase is worn and split at top and bottom and has been repaired with tape on the top. Chemise slightly rubbed. Four illustration tissues missing. Book is fine.

Signed by Author (Wood) on half title page.  Lovely poetry and illustrations of Pueblo Indians.
