Inscribed (to Brewster Smith, former President of the American Psychological Association) and SIGNED by Daniel Yankelovich on the front endpaper. The volume is edge worn, the second endpaper and rear endpaper are corner creased, and the rear endpaper also has a light vertical crease with soiling along the inner edge. The soiled, unclipped, dust jacket is also edge worn, nicked at the spine ends and corners, has a 1/2" x 1/4" chip with extended closed tear and creasing on the top of the front panel, and a circular stain, also, on the front panel. The jacket is now sleeved in mylar.

The volume has 4 dog-eared top corners and is bumped on the bottom rear edge. The unclipped dust jacket, sleeved in mylar, is lightly nicked at the corners.

The volume is bumped at the spine ends, has a bookplate on the front pastedown, and offsetting to the endpapers from the jacket and bookplate. The jacket is priced (7/6 net) but has a 1" x 2 1/4" quarter circle piece missing from the front jacket flap affecting 3 lines of print. The jacket, sleeved in mylar, is soiled, spotted with foxing, and has wrinkles, chips (deepest is 3/8" x 1/4" on the spine crown), and closed tears at the corners and spine ends. Most are reinforced on the verso with tape.

The unclipped dust jacket, sleeved in mylar, is wrinkled with a short closed tear at each spine end, has a 1/8" closed tear with long shallow associated creasing at the base of the rear panel and has a "V" shaped scratch on the picture on the front panel.

The volume is lightly edge rubbed, bumped on the corners and spine ends, and additionally is wrinkled on the spine ends. The interior has penciled corrections on pages 68 & 73 and the volume is overopened in a few places.

The volume is bumped and frayed on the spine ends, and has spots of soiling on the front panel. The name of K C Balderston is inked to the front endpaper, bookplates are affixed to both pastedowns, and there is a small bookseller's label on the front endpaper. The binding is still firm and the pages have acquired a gentle toning.

The volume is pushed on the spine ends, is Spine and perineter toned, and has some foxing on the fore-edges.
