The First printing with unbattered type on p. 38 (lines 6-9), p. 248 (lines 21-24) and the page number '90' is unbattered as well. The first three printings are not formally distinguished, though priority is given to the unbattered text, according to the Fitzgerald Bibliography by Brucolli. Bound in the publisher's green woven cloth binding. The spine embossed in gilt, with the cover blindstamped, as issued. A fairly simple, yet pleasing binding. This book comes together with a facsimile (reproduction) dust jacket, for protection and aesthetics. The facsimile jacket is protected in a removable archival plastic dust jacket, as well.
