The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (Tom Sawyer's Comrade) by Mark Twain aka Samuel Clemens (author of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, Life on the Mississippi, The Prince and the Pauper, A Yankee in King Arthur's Court, etc.) Hardcover First Edition - First Printing - 6 first state issue points Charles L. Webster Green Cloth Issue 1884/1885. (there were also blue cloth, half-leather and sheep-skin issues) 366 pages and 174 illustrations. Includes about 6 (or 5) of the 7 issue points needed for a bona fide first copy. The discrepancy of 5 or 6 depends upon how you define the corrected page number "155" with the second "5" stamped in. A first state copy with all seven issue points present in this condition would probably run you $12,000. Comes with custom clamshell box! PRICED to sell! Issue Points: I'm reasonably confident this is close to a first state copy with 6 first state issue points present described as follows (see also pics): portrait bust without cloth visible (this is the only truly second state issue ... Alanna: The First Adventure (Book One of the Song of the Lioness) by Tamora Pierce Hardcover First Edition - First Printing Atheneum 1983. $12.95 cover price. States "First Edition" on the copyright page which signifies both a first edition and first printing. 241 pages. In red cloth with embossing on the front. Not an easy book to find at the moment. SPECIAL COPY/Provenance: This copy formerly owned by fantasy writer Robin McKinley. Signed by her on a bookplate attached to the front free end-paper. Fine- in Fine Dust Jacket. A really beautiful copy. The book itself is clean and smart, with clean boards and straight edges. It would be just about a perfect copy, except the only shortcoming is some foxing to the top of the text-block. (Did McKinley not store the book properly?) Else a really nice exceptional copy with exceptional provenance.NOTE: All modern books with dust jackets come with dust jacket covers. ALSO: The picture is of the actual item for sale. The Autobiography of Mark Twain

Mark Twain aka Samuel Clemens

  • Edition: First Printing
  • Book condition: Fine
  • Quantity available: 1
The Publishing Phenomenon of 2010! Mark Twain's Autobiography, 100 years in the making. Mark Twain is the author of the Adventures of Tom Sawyer, Huckleberry Finn, Life on the Mississippi, etc. The Autobiography of Mark Twain The Complete and Authoritative Edition Volume 1 edited by Harriet Elinor Smith (volumes 2 and 3 are not yet published) Hardcover First Edition - First Prinitng University of California Press 2010 (part of the Mark Twain Project). Huge tome at 736 pages. Fine in Fine Dustjacket. A beautiful copy with just a hint of tenderness to the back upper corner. This book is already in double-digit printings.
