Original red cloth, gilt lettering to spine, black lettering and motif to upper board. "As my travels in Spanish South America extended over a period of six years, it may be fairly hoped that the knowledge of some of the places here described is not superficial, and professional work often procured adventures which, if ill paid in money, were rich in incident. The photographs have been selected from those taken during my travels, in the hope they may convey to the reader a more vivid perception."
