About the plate illustrations:The beautiful color plates were printed in the Lithographic Institute of W. Müller in Gera, who also made the master drawings. 53 apple and 51 pear varieties are illustrated and described with 1 to 3 whole fruits and 1 slice view.
Condition: The plates are bright and gorgeous and in excellent condition, without foxing or tears and suitable for framing. The cover has some fading and light staining commensurate with the age of the book.

The book was published simultaneously in the US and the UK.

An antiquarian book in very good overall condition. The decorations on the cover is faded and there is a number on the spine (lib?) - no other marks, internally clean.
