Florencio Molina Campos (1891-1959) was an illustrator and painter known for his typical drawings of customs of the Argentine pampa. His drawings and paintings recall, with a touch of humor, typical gaucho customs. They were invariably caricatures, and frequently primitive, although with exaggerations and coloring that connect them also with a not ingenuous expressionism; his art reflects that of a sharp observant of the gaucho world from an original and different lens. There is a Puebla version printed the same year. Fabian y Fuero, Archbishop of Puebla, praises Saint Thomas Aquinas, Juan Palafox y Mendoza, and King Charles II; curiously, he also dedicates a part of the text to "leisure" and its advantages. Sabin 23593. This Spanish version is not in WorldCat - the Mexican version: one copy at Bancroft Library.

The outline of the book is the usual one in this type of treatise: I. Of the Common Sphere. II. Of the Celestial Sphere. III. Of the terrestrial sphere.
The author: Spanish Jesuit mathematician, astronomer and cosmologist, belonging to the Spanish novatores or pre-enlightened. He is commonly cited as Father Zaragoza. He stood out as a practical or empirical astronomer, that is, as a great observer. Since 1660 he made observations with powerful glasses that he built himself; he observed the comets of 1664 and 1677.
