There is a bump at the head of the spine that has left a crease mark in that area throughout book. Does not impact illustrations, but it is noticeable at the upper inner corner. Large folio-sized book.

Los Angeles: Dawson's Book Shop, 1952. Cloth. Good. Contains catalogues numbered 237, 240, 244, 248, 253, and 256, as some kind soul most helpfully noted in ink on the front free end paper. The same hand has liberally sprinkled the margins with blue and red ink by circling book numbers and checking or squiggling through said number in the alternate color, presumably when said book was acquired judging by the occasional "have", "get", "get first edition", etc. Perhaps there are some notes of interest to the collector, but I couldn't really tell you if the prior owner knew what they were about or not. 9"x6"; 136 pages; B&W Illustrations; green cloth; indexed.

Contains an artist index, with lot numbers for each artist for easy reference. Includes works from British, American, French, Hungarian, Polish and German artists. There are quite a few descriptions with numbers written in ink above them, but none appear to extend into the images. Provenance listed when available. 11"x8.5"; some creasing and edge wear. 1lb 3oz

Covers American artists like Milton Avery, Georgia O'Keefe, Maxfield Parrish, Frank Lloyd Wright, and Andrew and James Wyeth. Previous owner name stamped on title page. Edge wear and rubbing to covers, about 4 leaves have detached from the binding, but are not damaged or worn - they popped out when I was flipping through the pages, likely the effect of heat on the glue.
