First edition of this scarce and beautiful jewelry catalogue of Marcasite jewelry. Marcasite jewelry is actually made from pyrite, quite similar to marcasite semi-precious gemstones, but much more stable and easily faceted to allow for setting into costume jewelry often with sterling silver. The original photograph and the illustrations in the catalogue detail such Marcasite jewelry as men’s sterling cravats, cuff links, Masonic and other fraternal order emblems, earrings, bracelets, brooches, rings, and crosses.
