New York: The Grolier Society, [No date, circa 1900.]. The Book Of History A History Of All Nations, From The Earliest Times to the Present. With over 8000 illustrations. Bound in morocco leather bindings. Gilded spines. The top edges are gilded. Printed on thick paper. These are heavy books. Heavily illustrated. Columned text. These are large books at 9.75 inches tall. Near 21 inches of shelf space. In good condition. There is general usage wear and shelf rubs. The hinges are all strongly attached, but there is some abrasion that has rubbed through. Some internal dirt and thumbing. These are a little loose. These are heavy books. No writing. These display beautifully. This set would make an excellent gift and/or addition to any fine library. In addition to their shelf presence, antiquarian books make an excellent investment. Description:
New York: Random House, 1958. First Edition, First Printing. First Printing of both the book and the dust jacket. Book with 'First Printing' stated on the copyright page. Original dust jacket with $3.50 price printed on the front flap a the top, and 10/58 on the bottom. The dust jacket comes protected in a removable and archival mylar jacket protector. Both the book and dust jacket are in Very Good condition, and have been exceptionally well preserved. There is only some light generalized wear. The paper is fresh and clean, with no foxing. No previous owner's names. The dust jacket has some abrasion along the extremities and minor edge chips of only a few mm's in length, the largest being at the top of the spine, extending less then a quarter of an inch down. The dj is a little brittle, has some uneven sun fading, and the rear flap has a split along the inner flap fold that is near halfway down, not visible on the shelf, and is recommended that it be left in the archival protector… Read more

Weighs a little over 8lb. 14 inches tall including base which is 1.75 inches tall 4.75 inches wide hand made from plaster on back has copyright Austion Prod. 1964 engraved in the plaster with a larger engraving of KON ZAL base is made of oak with felt on the botto and sealed where affixed to the sculpture Jaw to head is 9 inches making this fairly life sized depicts lincoln wearing a bow and collar a rare original piece of art, with linoln ging up in value and 150th anniversary approaching in under 2 years.
