The idea for the exhibition was to examine the neighborhood, 'Belsize Park' and try to resolve some of the questions about preservation versus new construction. Belsize Park was Arthur Rackham's last residence. Alfred Stevens lived there, also Agatha Christie. A number of well known architects have designed buildings there, for example C.F. Voysey and Wells Coates. It was also home to a number of modern architects: James Stirling, Norman Foster, Robin Spence and Richard Rogers among others.
