23 April 1874. 6 x 9 inches, on the upper half of an old album page. Narayan Sheshadri (d.1892), Indian Christian pastor and translator, convert of the Free Church of Scotland in Bombay. He travelled in Scotland and America, and received a DD degree from the University of Montreal. From an album compiled by Leone Levi (1821–1888), jurist, political economist, and statistician, author of the History of British Commerce (1872). On the verso of the album leaf is an Autograph Inscription Signed by André-Michel Guerry (1802-1866), French lawyer and statistician, about political institutions, dated 1847.

Undated. 2 x 4½ inches, in good condition, removed from an album. George Gilfillan (1813-1878), Scottish author and poet. He was one of the spasmodic poets, and an editor and commentator of earlier British poetry. He is also remembered as the subject of An Address to the Rev. George Gilfillan, the first of William McGonagall's poetic productions.

8 March 1763. Vellum, 8 x 10 inches, light dampstaining, minor defects, of good appearance. Offered with two pages of a full typed descrption and transcript, with historical notes. Halwill lies between Okehampton and Holsworthy in the north of the county of Devon. To the right of the signatures, where two seals would have been, a small strip of parchment has been cut away, probably as a formal act of cancellation on the discharge of the bond.

In the Savoy, 1667. Printed broadside. 13 x 9 inches, one small clean tear repaired, edges untrimmed, some light foxing spots only. Wing 3390. The Treaty of Breda was signed on 31 July 1667. England gained Albany, New York, Antigua, Montserrat, and part of St. Christopher. France received Acadia (Nova Scotia). The Treaty of Breda was signed by England, the United Provinces (Netherlands), France, and Denmark–Norway. It brought a hasty end to the Second Anglo-Dutch War (1665–1667). Charles Spencer, 3rd Duke of Marlborough (1706-1758), Master-General of the Ordnance (1755), Commander in Chief of the Forces in Germany (1758). He makes several appearances in the Memoirs of Lord Hervey, in connection with the Court intrigues of the 1730s.

May 1814. 1 page 7 x 8 inches, in good condition. Rear-Admiral Alexander Renton Sharpe (1785-1860) had an adventurous career during the Napoleonic Wars, including the blockade of San Domingo (1803-04), the naval action near Corfu in March 1809, and the destruction of French store-ships in Sagone Bay, Corsica, in May 1811. From December 1812 to September 1818 Sharpe commanded HMS Hyacinth (24 guns) in the Mediterranean, North Sea, Channel and South America.
