There is a bit of light surface soil, the rear board is minimally sunned at the top and the end papers show some foxing. Otherwise the book is in excellent condition, the pages are all bright and show no toning, the hinges are solid, the corners are square with some rubbing rear top. There are 11 pages at the back advertising other Burt series for boys. The copyright page shows the CR date of 1929 and has a list of 3 camp-fire boys books ending at this volume (it doesn't show the 1930 version of The Camp-Fire Boys in Borneo). It has 227, bright, clear pages in tan cloth covered boards with black titles on the spine and front where there is also a drawing of the boys battling a tentacled beast at the shore.
