This is a civil war era personal family album. No soldiers or uniforms. The album is dated 1862 but the pictures are not dated and are inserted into the thick cardstock. I didn't check the reverse of all the pictures but most states a photography firm in Providence Rhodes Island: Manchester Bros.

Picture two has two 2 cent Washington stamps which may help date the pictures.
