Pp. 8 folded leporello.||The original manuscript and corrected proof of this poem composed by Eric Gill in August 1921 while travelling on a train to Ditchling are now in the Gleeson Library in the University of San Francisco. Edited by Walter Skeat, M.A. Illustrated by Eric Gill with numerous foliated and peopled borders, full- and half-page illustrations and initial letters. Initial letters printed in red and blue. One of 485 copies on paper of a total edition of 500. 4 volumes. Folio, bound by Sangorski & Sutcliffe in original niger morocco-backed patterned boards, top edges gilt, others uncut. Very bright and crisp, a little fading and variation in tone of spine between volumes, as often, slight bumping to corners and rubbing to very edges of boards. ||The collaboration between Gill and the Gibbings is a rich one. This stands as one of the great works of the Press and of the twentieth century private press movement.| An extremely bright set

Quarto (182 x 247 mm), bound at the Doves Bindery to a design by C.J. Cobden-Sanderson in 1908 (signed in gilt on the lower turn-in), full reddish brown niger, gold-tooled panelled sides with two sets of triple gilt fillets and open circles, interlocking on all sides, spine in compartments with raised bands, each compartment panelled with gilt, the second panel with excellent gilt lettering, triple gilt fillets to turn-ins, edges gilt and gauffered. Housed in a later clamshell, felt-lined cloth box. A few spots to the sides and the usual offset from the turn-ins to the feps but otherwise a very handsome Doves binding.||T.J. One of 275 copies, this one inscribed ‘Out of Series’ with a couple of excised areas from the colophon where a number would have been. Printed in Garamond type on Japanese vellum. Tall 4to., original calf backed, patterned paper covered boards, spine lettered in gilt. Spine only very slightly darkened with few small marks, tiny bit of rubbing to the very edges and other than the excised spaces on the colophon page, a very good copy in a later cloth slipcase.||One of the cycle of tales from the important medieval Islamic romance of Salame Abu Zeyd translated from the original Arabic by Lady Anne Blunt and done into verse by William Scawen Blunt. Pp. 48. 12mo., original quarter vellum over maroon paper covered boards, gilt decorative design to upper cover, lettering in gilt to spine. Vellum slightly soiled, some mild rubbing to boards, but still a good copy.|||
