Fitzwilliam, NH: Ken Roberts Publishing Co, 1982. reprint. Boards. Near Fine. reprint. [2], 94, [2] pages plus wrappers. 4to (9 1/2 x 12 inches). Brown leatherette gilt, plain brown spine. A few minor blemishes to binding, otherwise a new copy. Boards. A quality reprint done by Ken Roberts Publishing Co. in 1982, reprinting the original Rabone & Sons catalog from 1892. John Rabone & Sons worked out of Hockley Abbey Works, Birmingham England. The original catalogue wrappers are also bound in as facsimiles, and contain on the inside of the front cover a long and useful assessment of the catalogue and firm by Ken Roberts. He notes an error in the original catalog, as well as commenting on the production qualities of the original. Roberts made some compromises in reproducing this work in order to keep costs down, and these (mostly having to do with multi-color processes) are enumerated here. A useful reference work for anyone who collects products of the Rabone & Sons company.
