Prague: n.p., 1930. Very good. Sepia photograph, 4 by 5½ inches, showing Vladimir Nemirovich-Denchenko in his study. The photograph is inscribed to Soviet actor Mikhail Zharov. There is a short inscription on the front, and a longer one on the reverse, where Danchenko praises the actor as a magician and wizard of the stage, inscribed as a remembrance of their meeting on April 17, 1930 in Prague. n.p.: n.p., n.d.. Hardcover. Good. A copy of William Bishop, Winged Peace, published by Viking in 1944 has had a window neatly excised in the textblock leaving the remaining text as a frame. Blue cloth, soiled and worn, with two labels on the upper boad. When opened, one sees right through to the back pastedown on which has been mounted a simple black drawing of a clothesline between two posts. On the line are a corset and panties in thin purple paper with black ink highlights, as well as a lacy brassiere so affixed that they appear drying on the line.
