Lower corners and a couple of spots to the upper and lower edges are bumped. Foxing shows at the fornt and rear free endpapers at the fore edges. Foxing to the upper and fore page edges. The dust jacket has staining along the verso of the spine and rear flap fold. Virtually none of this shows through to the exterior. Chipping to the upper spine area. A 3/8" tear to the upper, rear edge. Price of $4.95 to the front flap. ; 4to 11" - 13" tall; 208 pages .

With eight full-page color and many black & white illustrations. Color endpapers. Lower corners are bumped and this has affected the lower corner of the text block. There is a bit of sunning at the upper and lower spine end cloth. Very tight and otherwise clean. The dust jacket has a roughly triangular piece out of the upper spine. It is 1 3/4" at the deepest and angles up. Chips at the corners, a 1 1/2" tear to the upper, rear edge. A 1/2" chip to the upper, front edge. Included in a separate folder is the full suite of 29 loose color prints by Kent. All are fine. The "signed limited edition" sheet is still laid in loose. The folder is nearly fine with only minimal wear. The slipcase is very worn, especially to one side. A great copy but for the slightest soiling to the cover edges. Light wear otherwise. No markings. The dust jacket has a small chip to the upper spine end, a 1/2" tear to the lower spine. There is a tear with associated crease to the lower, rear edge. A 5/8" tear across the mid-spine. In the original illustrated slipcase which is quite worn. Splits along the lower edges. Overall wear but completely intact and quite scarce. ; Oblong 8vo 8" to 9" tall .

The foreword, by the publisher, Robert E. Massmann, states, "The cover wrapper is handmade Dard Hunter paper from the last lot produced at his Lime Rock Mill". It is then signed by Massmann. Limited to 50 copies. Nearly fine with a few spots of foxing to the rear cover. ; Miniature Less than 3" tall; Signed by Author .

It is largely difficult to see. Some bubbling of the cloth to a small area on the spine and also to the rear, near the upper spine. These are fairly minor flaws. Without names or bookplates. Very tight. The dust jacket is completely split at the front edge of the spine. Overall darkened, staining along the spine. Chips at the corners and spine ends. Some splitting to the flap folds. A very early printing of the third winner of The Newbery Medal. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 247 pages .
