Description:
(S. Berni, Gingko 2020.01.11.) The title-page reads scelte; the cover has scielte, which was Aldo's spelling. The imprint "èinaudito" is a pun on Einaudi and è inaudito "it is unheard of". · ¶ First edition (only edition), one of only 150 numbered copies distributed mostly at the Milan book fair 18-19 January 2020 and quickly exhausted. The present copy is numbered LXIV. It was acquired in the rare-book trade April 2020. Thus its purchase here will not enrich Sig. De Caro. — ¶ Collation: 200 x 105 mm (7⅞ x 4⅛ inches): Thirty-three leaves, paginated [1]-[65] [66 blank]. Illustration: Seven halftone facsimiles (title-pages &c). Binding: Pictorial wrappers. Pictorial black dust-jacket, Aldine device lettered "ALD VS" (sic) in silver. Condition: Fine.
