A Fine unread copy in Fine unclipped dustjacket. SIGNED TWICE by Dario Fo - at the front endpaper alongside the signature of Franca Rame - and for a second time at the title page below the signature of the author. Possibly a unique copy, thus. Signed for the seller in person at the Edinburgh International Book Festival.

London: Hutchinson, 1955. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Very Good/Good. An attractive copy of this Roger Brook title in the original publisher's black cloth covers - minor push to the crown, corners lightly rubbed but a VG straight, tight and clean copy with bright gilt titles at the backstrip. The unclipped dustjacket is bright and clean with some minor loss at the corners and at the tail and a short tear to the top edge of the rear panel. Minor print soiling to the rear panel but much better than it sounds - Good++. At the title page the author has written, "With best Wishes from Dennis Wheatley". While signed/inscribed books by this author are by no means rare inscriptions are usually addressed to an individual by name - such generic inscriptions are uncommon.

Not the rarest of signed books by Robert Crais but what makes this copy "special" is that it is from the once-legendary Deansgate branch of High-Street booksellers, Waterstone's. Still in the original Deansgate packaging and therefore has not been exposed to the elements since the day the author signed the book. Deansgate was at one time the best source of quality signed first editions in the UK, with an international roster of top author-signing events. It is rare nowadays to come across the unbroken Deansgate seal and this copy will surely appeal to the sentiments of many a collector!

Paris: Maeght Editeur, 1975. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Soft cover. Fine. A very nice complete copy of DLM 212 with 8 lithographs (including the covers) by Alexander Calder. Published in Paris by Maeght, 1975. Loose signatures in wrappers as issued, 24 pages. Contents in Fine condition, free from spotting, foxing etc. No stains or finger-marking - a very clean and bright copy, the colours are vivid and goregeous. One minor fault - there is a very small pinch at the spine/fold which carries through to the same place at all of the signatures - unsure whether it is a sign of a "bump" or some kind of production fault. otherwise, a Fine example.

Helsinki: Holger Schildts Forlag, 1962. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Fine. An attractive copy of the true first edition of the Moomins book published in English as Tales from Moominvalley. This lovely example has been enhanced even more with a signature-cut of Tove Jansson which has been neatly pasted in at the title-page. Original 1/4 cloth, pictorial boards, pp. 166(7), illustrated by the author with vignettes and numerous full page drawings. Includes the story, The Invisible Child. which is the title of the book in Swedish. Fine condition, very minor bumps and rubs to the corners incurring slight loss of colour. Free from owner names etc, exceptionally clean and bright without the normal print soiling at the rear board.

London: Cassell, 1961. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Good. First Printing. A nice copy. A strip of sunning at the foot of the spine but a very presentable copy of this "serious and major" novel. The author also penned a number of thrillers under the pseudonym Gavin Black. The unclipped, atmospheric dustjacket has some moderate rubbing to the edges and the spine tips and is split at the corners with trifling loss but is still eye-catching and presents well.

Penguin, 2007. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Fine/Fine. First Printing. A VeryFine unread copy in Very Fine dustjacket. Loosely inserted into the book is a plain white card (approx 3.5" x 3" ) inscribed "To John" and signed by the author.

Finland: KG Divina Film, 1958. 1st Edition . No Binding. Fine. First Printing. A vintage, original, Finnish cinema poster for the first screening in Finland of the German, Oscar-nominated terror movie, THE DEVIL STRIKES AT NIGHT. The film was first screened in Finland in 1958 with no further theatrical runs. A stunning example of cinema advertising art, this poster is in Fine, vibrant condition, approximate size is 23.5 inches by 15.7 inches, standard Finnish A2 format. SIGNS OF USE: no pinholes to the corners but rather two tape residue marks to the upper margin (picture not affected). Fold-line to middle, a couple of minor scrapes to the upper right corner which has resulted in tiny loss of colour but otherwise in outstanding condition, FINE. Signed in the plate by the prolific film poster artist, Engel. For the best appreciation of condition please study the accompanying photograph which is high resolution.
