China.. (Circa1974.).. Very interesting 14 page scrapbook of cartoons and comic strips from what appears to be a variety of newspapers and publications, although the names and dates are not given. These cartoons all depict the "Criticize Lin Biao and Confucius" campaign of the mid-1970s. Covers show minor marking, but the overall condition is very good. 37 x 26.3cm. A collection of significant historical interest. This cartoon strip, adapted from a historical story published in the Beijing Daily by the People's Art Press, was originally featured in a March 1974 Railway Corps paper. While the provenance of the other cartoons is uncertain, some bear the signatures of their artists. .

Behind him, a view of hundreds of Red Guards occupy the streets and buildings, while others march forward with Red Guard flags. Very good condition. Colour photographic poster showing the Japanese Antarctic Ice Breaker, Fuji, in the Antarctic ice, 73 x 51.5cm, some light creasing with small repaired tears at edges and crease at upper corner, very good condition. The Japanese Antarctic ice breaker, Fuji, was in service between 1965 and 1983 transporting staff and goods between Japan and the Japanese Antarctic base over this 18 year period. After Fuji was taken out of the service, it was moored in Nagoya Port and is now on permanent display. The exhibitions and displays which now accompany the ship's display show the Japanese effort that has been put into Antarctic research and the difficulties the crew and research staff encountered along the way.
