Dust jacket with label removed from base of spine, slight wear, see picture First published in 1924 this collection of short stories is set in post world War 1 Germany in a sympathetic way. It includes the story 'Isn't Life Wonderful!' which was filmed by D W Griffith in 1924. This edition, with the Nicolson preface, even scarcer than the first edition. Moss, 1885-1954 was a professional soldier who retired in 1919 to write fulltime

A slightly used copy, some occasional soiling and paper adhesion, but without loss. A sound working copy (Then and now!). A scarce garden trade catalogue issued by a firm established in Hertfordshire in 1725 and which continued trading until 1985. Of particular interest is the large number of varieties available for each type of plant, including 10 pages of roses.

One of the scarcer titles in a series of medical tracts written in Latin, this one on Typhoid 1809

Clean ex-institutional library copy, with neat lettering at base of spine, thimble size rubber stamps on prelims, large cancelled stamp at base of title page and at end of book. Blurb from dw pasted neatly onto half title. Overall a good clean copy. Dr Routh was President of Magdalen from 1791 to 1854, and in that role a friend of Scottish Presbyterians.
