This is a bound collection of invites, meetings and installations for The Yachtsmans Lodge No 3698, during the years 1955 and 1956, and belonged to the Worshipful Master, Roger D H Hasted. Some items are multi-signed. The folder is blue cloth with gilt titling to the front cover, and measures 27 × 21cm. It contains eight invitations to meetings which includes agenda and members; a printed notice for the installation of Bro. Roger Hasted (2nd November 1955) with three full pages of signatures of those present; and a programme for Ladies' Evening at Hotel Victoria, New Brighton, in April 1956 (there are two copies of this, the other one is loose and has been signed by upwards of 60 / 70 attendees, and finally a printed notice for the installation of Bro. Radcliffe Weldon. There are also one or two other masonic related lists loosely inserted. Condition: The folder has light wear but the contents are in very good condition.

These moral tales are mostly populated by animals taking the place of humans. Some are of Muslim origin and have a religious lesson. The book is illustrated by Jeroo Roy, an Indian artist. Condition: A good copy. The book itself is in very good condition with a neat previous owner's name to the ffep. The dustwrapper is sun-faded to the spine and a little rubbed but otherwise sound.

Hardback, bound in the original cloth with gilt titling to spine. 20 × 13.5cm, 272pp. Faces in the Fire is a collection of essays which provide an inspiring and thoughtful read. One 'fancy' is An Old Maid's Diary, set in 1973 where and old lady sitting by the fire at Christmas starts to dream about her husband / fiance on the Western Front who was killed. He visits in dreams and she wonders of the life they would have had together. Condition: A good reading copy. The book is in solid shape and perfectly readable but suffers from blotchy foxing to the title page and endpapers, and to a much lesser extent through the text.

For four decades Fairey was one of the great names in British aviation and, although the organization no longer builds aircraft of its own design, the name continues in aeronautical spheres.
