Ivor Thord-Gray (1878 - 1964) was a Swedish adventurer and soldier. After numerous travels and jobs/roles in Africa, Asia, Mexico, and Russia, he settled in the United States, becoming a citizen in 1934. In addition to this book, he wrote a book about his experiences in the Mexican Revolution, 'Gringo Rebel: Mexico 1913-1914.'
