published by Dulac & Co., and others, London, 1841,. see description. small thick 8vo, xxxvi,372pp, publisher's list on front and back endpapers, two small spots on back endpapers continuing in foot margin of the adjoining last two leaves of the index, contents otherwise clean and good (except one four-page gathering in the introduction has been bound in upside-down), all cut edges printed speckle green, the covers are in a sorry state, once bound in full speckled calf, all that remains of that are patches of leather on the exposed boards, while the gilt separating the compartments on the spine remains bright, only on the centre one does the leather remain intact, in the other four bits of the leather are missing, particularly in the one at the top, leaving the book a little shaken the boards are each hanging on by two stitches. I have made no attempt at repair as this is the sort of 'forever' book that someone might like to have rebound.
