Description:
Richmond, Virginia: Virginia Museum 1976., 1976 The collection was formed between 1933 and 1946 and comprises one of the three or four largest collections outside of Russia of Faberge as well as other Masters. The 8 categories of the collection are animal carvings, Easter eggs, flowers, picture frames, handles, icons, jewelry, and miscellaneous objects, each preceded by a brief essay. While the original catalog, published in 1960 showed only a small portion of the collection, and these were in black and white, this new edition of the catalog depicts every object in the collection in high quality color photographs. The book concludes with a list of Faberge's materials and techniques. VG. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket.
