VG. 1975 New English Library 24431, first printing. Softcover. Basis for the film version starring Michael Caine and Natalie Wood.

VG+ / Brand new facsimile dust jacket. 1932 Ward, Lock & Co., first edition. Hardcover. Book is in excellent shape for its age. The front & end pages show a bit of foxing, but the text is clean. An early and uncommon title from the Author of 'The Wheel Spins' (a.k.a. 'The Lady Vanishes') and 'Some Must Watch' (a.k.a. 'The Spiral Staircase'). Looks great on the shelf in its brand new dust jacket.

VG++ . 1957 Bantam A1582, first printing. Softcover. Crazy (pun intended) story about a Major League Baseball player battling bi-polar disorder during his career. Ties in with the film version featuring Anthony Perkins and Karl Malden.

VG / VG. 1973 Holt Rinehart, stated first edition. Hardcover with dust jacket. Hard to believe this book caused a kerfuffle when it was published, but I remember it happening - - though I was a bit too young to give a crap at the time.

VG - VG+. 1960 Knopf, first edition / third print. Hardcover with dust jacket. Book spine edge (top) starting to fray just a bit. Jacket shows minor wear at stress points (flap folds, spine edges, etc.). Once MacDonald established Lew Archer as his primary protagonist (1949), he only wrote two novels that did not feature Archer the rest of his career - this is one of them.

VG / VG-. 1975 Putnam Sports Shelf, first edition - NOT ex-lib. Hardcover with dust jacket. Sadly, the top edge experienced a little water damage at some point in its life which impacts the jacket (top edge is rippled) more so than the book itself. Otherwise it's in terrific shape.

Near Fine. 1980 Signet AE1042, 5th printing. Softcover. The final installment in the Omen Trilogy, starring young Sam Neill and his mischievous eyes (meant as a compliment). Book is in terrific shape.

There ought to be a law...I guess you can't be picky when you're "...wallowing in the world's vilest racket". Rear cover has a cup ring stain. Front cover has more general wear from use.
