M2K 42 A beautiful, seldom-produced opera by Umberto Giordano to an Italian libretto by Arturo Colautti, based on the play Fédora by Victorien Sardou.181 - premiered in Milan in 1898. This recording stars Eva Marton and Jose Carreras, with the Hungarian Radio/Television Symphony Orchestra and Chorus, conducted by Giuseppe Patane. Total Time: 1:35:01. CONDITION: Fine unscratched CDs with Fine double jewelcase and tray inserts, a Near Fine 241-page booklet (light edge-/corner-wear), and Very Good Plus slipcase (moderate corner-scuffing). The CDs were played twice and sound beautifully. (NOTE: In a production faux pas, CBS underestimated the thickness of the booklet, and it plus the double jewelcase are very tight in their slipcase and a bit difficult to extract.) This excellent recording will be securely packed and promptly shipped.
