The entire surface is elaborately blind stamped giving it a lacquered appearance. It is rubbed, lightly at the corners, more so at the ends of the spine where there is a short split at the top, front. The titles on the back strip are gold. It has pale yellow end papers and is illustrated with steel engravings of paintings. It contains "Justine" by Wilson, "The Lover's Leap" by Allen, "On the New Year" by Strickland, among many other works. It has 268 pages, gilt edged all around. It has a bit if a roll.
