Description:
New York. Doubleday & Company. 1948. Edited and translated by L.P. Lochner this very good copy shows (without jacket) minimal shelf wear on black boards with gilt lettering on red panel on spine. First Edition assumed with matching date on title and copyright pages and no subsequent printing listed. PO's bookplate on flyleaf. Joseph Goebbels (1897-1945) was the Nazi politician in charge of propaganda for the Nazi Party during WW II known for his virulent antisemitic view. To illustrate Goebbels viewpoint one only has to read part of page 113. An incredibly sad dairy, full of misery and suffering that does not end well for Goebbels, his wife or his children. Still, should be required reading for those needing to better understand the past that cannot be repeated.
