Description:
[Moline, Illinois], (1907). 7 3/4" x 6" album. Textured card wraps with string binding at left margin. 9 black paper leaves, each separated by tissue guards. Notations in white album pen throughout. 17 photogrraphs tipped onto rectos and versos. Notations severely worn at front cover, some mild wear elsewhere, but largey all legible. One photograph nearly loose from mounting, otherwise in excellent condition. About near fine overall. A lovely, American arts and crafts-style photo album documenting the July-August 1907 camp (dubbed camp "Sleepy-Nit" in notation) along the Rock River, likely near Moline, Illinois according to a bit of census research of named members of the party. The abum is delicately assembled and well-notated with many of the images depicting people in dress of the opposite gender.
