A very good copy of this signed and limited edition, limited to 500 this copy being number 81; only sold to Private Subscribers. Bound in red cloth with some minor fading, with gilt titles and teg, has a splendid woodcut frontispiece by William Roberts in the cubist style (reminiscent of Roberts tail-piece drawings in "Seven Pillars of 1926). Introductory note by Richard Aldington. An uncomfortable novella, this was published the same year as his first novel, 'Drift.' His second novel 'Boy' (1931) was prosecuted for obscenity by Bury police. T.E. Lawrence owned copy Number 59 and wrote of it; "I call this a fine thing: it is really three dimensional and excellent.....but why in God's name, an Introduction by Richard Aldington?" 36pp.
