The number of copies printed is smaller than the number of first edition copies. They are rarely seen signed, and are frequently not kept in very good condition. This is an excellent copy of this early state of a very sought-after book, inscribed to a known SF/Fantasy bookseller -- if you like, I'll include a provenance note about where it came from and how it got signed. Probable only edition of this very technical history of the Naval Ordnance Test Station at Inyokern in the 1940s. Not an ex-library copy; no internal notations noticed on a cursory examination. Corners mildly bumped, otherwise a very nice tight clean copy. Feel free to ask for further information.

Publisher's library edition of the first US edition of this classic children's book. Absolutely no library accessioning marks on title page or copyright page -- clearly never entered into a library's distribution system. I do not know whether this was issued with a dustjacket or not -- in any case, this copy doesn't have one. The front pastedown has a generic, nameless bookplate. A surprisingly uncommon book in any state -- the number of library copies which were not accessioned by libraries is probably vanishingly small. A rather nice example of this sort of binding, and an interesting oddity. More photos available on request.
