Durham: George Walker, 1759. 47 pp. Very good in later binding. One copy located at Harvard. Likely printed circa 1800. Aram was a teacher and convinced a friend with an inheritance to purchase luxury goods on credit. Aram then killed the man and stole the goods. A body was found some years later in a cave and evidence pointed to Aram and he was convicted and hung.

This copy has a tipped-in photograph of Thomas Lake Harris with a printed example of his autograph below it. The last two pages have a catalog of the author's recent publication available for order from his community Fountain Grove and from various publishers in the United Kingdom. Thomas Lake Harris (1823- 1906) was a Spiritualist, poet, maker of wine and the founder of several communal experiments in Virginia, New York, and California.

Sabin 102470.This work includes a plate picturing the murder of a seducer. The first work described the case of a man led astray by reading Pain's Age of Reason. He seduces the wife of a tavern owner and ends up dead. The second case describes the seduction of an 18-year year old woman by a longtime family friend. Her brother shoots and kills the man.
