This is a 2 volume set of Homer's Iliad. Volume 1 has a faded cover in some areas, with some bumping and shelf wear. Volume 2 however has a mostly clean cover and looks really nice, only very minor bumping. No inscriptions.

First Edition, First Impression, Andre Deutsch, 1961. The DJ has some loss at the top of the spine, but which has not affected the title, although it comes down to the first letter, without touching it. It is chipped at the edges, with some small areas of tape repair on the back, although the front is about 98% intact, as per the picture. It is partially price clipped. Internally there are no inscriptions and the binding is fine.

Overall, this novel is in fantastic condition, with only a small veil of dustyness on the front of the dust jacket. There is minimul wearing at the edges and no folds or tears on any of the book's pages.

These books is in very good condition. Three novels in two volumes. Volume one is the 1956 reprint of the 1928 first edition, Volume two is the first edition from 1955. Both books have some shelf wear and bumps. The first has a small chip out of the top of the spine and a small closed tear, the second has just a little wear at the spine. The Michael Ayrton jackets both still look great.. Minor discolouration of the spines. a strip of discolouration on the FEP of Volume one. No inscriptions or price cut. These are nice copies, just trying to be precise about the condition.
