(Tokyo): Hokuseido, 1952. First printing. 396 pp., 5.25 x 7.25 inches. Printed cloth over boards in dust-jacket. Age-toning to pages (with a mild crease to corner of the first few leaves), and slight tanning to cloth, but still an attractive, very good copy in a very good jacket with rubbing and edgewear, a few small stains, and small losses at foot and crown of spine. Tissue guards for all the plates are present and in good condition. The conclusion of Blyth’s celebrated four-volume survey, scarce in the first printing and in decent condition.
