An interesting combination biography and autobiography of Hwarowa Stephen Sitole, an indigenous minister/missionary in South Africa during apartheid, written on occasion of Mr. Sitole's visit to Moody Bible Institute and fundraising appearances in the US.

295 pages. History and theology of Heaven. Written by a pastor in the German Reformed Church in America. This popular text went through at least three editions from 1849 to 1851. The second edition was said to be "revised and improved" over the first.

Paris: Boumard Fils, [early 20th Century]. Loose_leaf. Fine. 2 3/8 x 4 1/2 inches. Front: image of Mary and scroll with gilt lettering. Back: blank. Series: A.M. 10. Boumard Fils, also known as Boumard et Fils, was a family-run publisher of religious art, active at the beginning of the twentieth century. Boumard Fils was located in the Saint-Sulpice neighborhood of Paris, the center of the religious printing industry in France. The artwork on their earlier cards is exemplary of the Saint-Sulpician style.

A few pages loose. Bound in contemporary black leather with gilt cross to front cover. Covers lightly worn. An interesting pastoral guide from the Evangelical Lutheran Synod of Iowa. An nice piece of Lutheran and German-American history. A scarce work.

Saddlestitched pamphlet. A reprint from the Church Eclectic (July 1896). No wraps, as issued. A very good copy of this scarce pamphlet by the son of Samuel Seabury.

Series: Kelco 44528-2FP 13. Cromo N.B. was founded in Milan in 1927 by Nino Basevi. In 1988, Cromo N.B. moved from its historical headquarters in Milan to Bareggio. Many significant (traditionally mostly Italian) artists have worked for Cromo N.B. All the designs published by Cromo N.B. are original.

A very good copy of this exposition of the American Prayer Book intended for lay persons or catechumens. Based in part upon the American version of Alfred Barry's Teacher's Prayer Book.

Back: blank except for printing information. Series: Raccolta 225 on front, Raccolta - 13 on back. Fratelli Bonella is a publisher of Catholic devotional materials. It was established by brothers Egidio and Aristide Bonella in the early twentieth century in Italy (ca. 1930). It has continued to be a family-run business for three generations, and remains one of the leading producers of religious images in the world.

Heavily illustrated, with many in color. Signed by author on front free endpaper. Bound in publisher' s brown cloth with gilt title to front cover, and gilt author, title, publisher and date to spine. A few spots of white paint on lower edges of boards (apparently from sitting on a painted bookshelf), else fine. An excellent signed first edition of the history of the Episcopal Diocese of West Tennessee.
