This assumed first edition is clean, tight, square with pretty good corners and unmarked. It is mildly rubbed at the edges, noticeable at the ends of the spine and tips of the corners. It has decorative end papers and glossy gilt edged pages illustrated with black and white drawings and 20, lithographed water color engvavings bound in gold cloth covered boards with blue and green drawings of flower on the front and rear and gilt titles on the spine and front where there is also a gilt vignette of marching children. The plate "our hope for the future" is loose at the top, but in place. A late page has a closed tear repaired with aging cellophane tape. It is unpaginated.
