New York: Random House, 1953. First Edition, First Printing. A True Account Of A Multiple Murder And Its Consequences. First printing of both the book and dust jacket, with all points. The copyright page states First Printing. The top edge is stained. Not a book club edition, (with rear cover without the bce indentation). Dust jacket with 1/66 on the front flap, $5.95 price, and with "Publishers Of The American College Dictionary And The Modern Library" at the bottom of the rear flap. In very good condition, very fresh and well preserved. The dust jacket is protected in a removable archival protector. Some small chips along the extremities, and some creases, small closed tears, but still near fully intact. There is some light generalized wear. Hinges sound. No previous ownership names. In highly collectible condition. New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1890. First Edition, First Printing. Bound in the publisher's less common leather bindings. Gilded spines. The three folding, color maps are present; the Map of the Great Forest Region is in the pocket at the rear of Volume I and the Map of the Route of the Emin Pasha Relief Expedition and the Map of Emin Pasha's Province are in the pocket of Volume II. The books contain two engraved frontispieces and 150 illustrations. In very good condition overall, especially the bindings. The leather is supple and fresh, hinges are all sound. Small closed split at head of spine. Text is bright and clean, very fresh and well preserved. All 3 maps are present, but have substantial closed tears, as is common. The maps are housed in their slipcases affixed to the rear pastedowns of each book. Both map cases have a large closed tear.
