First edition, first printing of this never previously published and difficult to find book. In excellent condtion. Very light wear at edges and a bit more pronunced at top and front edge of spine. Age toning at edges. Otherwise like new. See photos.

A very early, undated, edition in excellent condition. Very slight shelf wear at top and bottom edges of spine. Otherwise cover is in fine condition as are the pages: no foxing, tears or blemishes. Unclipped dj ($0.95 price is on back cover of dj) has some serious tears and spaces (see photos). 427 plus 8 page title list.

The book would be in Fine condition except for a small tear at the top of the binding. Dudley Ward's signature, with an inscription and date are take up most of the first flyleaf page. The clipped dj (at all four corners) has many small tears, chips and creases.

Frist edtion by Dial Press, Book Club Edition. The book is in 'Like New' condition except for some minimal buckling at the top and bottom of the spine. The unclpeed dj (not showing a price), encased in a mylar transparent cover) has a small gouge at the top front corner of the front flap and moderate wear at the corners and top and bottom of the spine.

Rare first edition of this iconic book. In excellent condition. The only condition faults we could find are a miniscule scratch at the top right corner of the spine and a miniscule mark on the back cover (see photos). Consists of photos of the Illy artisans with their short essays and striking color photos of their work. Longer essays by Andrea Illy, Francisco Illy and Achille Bonito Oliva. 207 + 4 pages. In Italian and English.

Text in French. Includes many photos of Cocteau, his words, and some of his works. Pages not numbered. Pages in good condition, no tears or foxing. However, the spine has been repaired so that there are no lose pages (which was not the case previously). Considerable wear around cover. Small size - aprx. 6x8".

Stated first American edition of the 1917 Norwegian classic novel of marriage and relationships. The book is in excellent condition. It has very light soiling on the covers and inside covers, and very light wear the cover edges. The unclipped dj ($2.00) has light wear and chipping at the edges and noticeable soling on the back dj cover. Translated by Arthur G. Chater.

Later "Library" edition of book first published in 1887. Cover has has some discoloration at bottom front and back covers; otherwise in near fine condition. Ppages (on good quality deckled paper) are in excellent condition. This book has probably never been read; the pages have not been separated at the top. There are no marks, tears, bookplates, etc.

Xiv pages including a map of British coaling stations around the world. Followed by 192 pages of text. The book provides a detailed and analytical study of how British statesmen, and naval authorities were able to transform the British navy from sail to steam. First edition of this Book of the Month Club edition. Only fault in book a previous owner's name impressed into the first blank page (since the page is dark red, the impression is not noticeable without close examination). Dj has some small frays, tears and creases along edges and spine.

Both cover and dj are in 'As New' condition. Contains diagrams and high quality color photos of mostly crisp and highly detailed residential designs by McInturff.

Except for some tape marks on the first flyleaf page and what appears to be two small date stamps on the next to last fly-leaf page. Unclipped Dj covered with a Plasti-Kleer transparent book cover has been taped onto the rear cover. Book tells the story of Mary Jemison who was captured by by Indians in 1758 and who chose to remain with them. Illustrated by the author.
