London: Penguin - Michael Joseph, August 2010. First Edition. Hardcover. Near Fine/Near Fine. First UK edition/first printing of author's first book, targeted for YA audience - an alien teenager lives on the run and off the grid with his guardian. They are members of the last survivors of a destroyed planet and the force which took out their world has followed them to earth... very suspenseful and scheduled to be released as the proverbial major motion picture from Dreamworks Feb. 2011. Looks like the movie rights sold before the book could get printed. Touted as the next big thing, the book is also the center of a controversial contract involving James Frey...The only issues keeping this copy from being F/F is a slight crimping to the top of the spine which is just visible on the dustwrapper as well. All of our first editions are first printings unless otherwise noted. Dustwrappers are protected with clear archival wraps and we pack each book like it's a Tiffany egg.
