New York: Random House, 1931. One of 400 copies SIGNED BY FAULKNER - THIS MARKED PRINTER'S COPY. Written in ink on the colophon: "This `printer's copy` was mine. It was designed by me, John s. Fass." Also laid in is a copy of the 2 page, typed letter by the Inspector of the Post Office Department of Mississippi directed to Faulkner, then Postmaster of the University of Mississippi, stating the charges against him tht would eventually force him to resign his position. Faulkner's tenure there was marked by his general lack of interest and neglect. Details of the charges describe Faulkne's penchant for playing golf and cards during working hours, reading, being surly, randomly tossing mail into the garbage and other offenses characteristic of the young novelist. A fine copy of this signed limited Faulkner book in a red custom cloth folding box.. By the Author. First And Only Edition. Marbled Red Boards. Fine/Excellent. 8vo..
