It is mildly rubbed, noticeable at the ends of the spine and tips of the corners. It is lightly bumped/rubbed. There's a negligible split to the paper at the top of the hinge, but the hinge is tight and solid. The a slight dent, top edge, spine side, pp. 47-52 which effects noting, but can be seen when the book is closed. All in all, it's in great shape. It has 153, bright, clear, minimally toned pages plus ads in bright, tan colored cloth covered boards. There are black titles on the spine and front where there is also red & black design. NAP indicates first edition.

This limited (1,000 copies) is clean, tight, basically square with pretty good corners and unmarked. It has a minimal roll and is lightly rubbed at the edges, noticeable at the ends of the spine and tips of the corners. There is light damp stain on the lower corner that does not extend to the text. It has red marbled end papers and 364, 252, bright clear pages (many unopened), gilt edged at the top, with occasional black & white plates in a three-quarter binding with red leather on the corners and spine where there are also gilt titles and decorations. The boards are covered in red marbled paper which is mildly faded. It is undated, but the introduction indicates it was published in the last decade of the 19th century.
