Black & white imagery throughout, with one color-plate of an illustration of a wounded Japanese marine being helped by medical personnel. Text, mostly consisting of photo-captions, entirely in Japanese. The first few leaves with larger imagery with tissue-guarded plates depicting the visit of Japanese civilian and military dignitaries and officials to various medical military offices and facilities, including visits to patients in hospital wards. Imagery continues with pictures of prosthetic devices including replacement limbs and false eyes, bandaging and active hospital staff working with patients.
