This is the printed page from The Sphere dated July 18th 1914 and is taken from Matania's personal archives. The scene depicts the King (George V) and Queen in Scotland. The Royal couple visited the Parkhead forge in Glasgow and inspected the operations of gun making. They were presented with a 100 ton crane carrying a steel sling with a little girl carrying a bouquet. Her name was Miss Annie Dunlop, daughter of one of the timekeepers at the forge. One of a series of 12 artist proof signed prints produced for the Sphere & Tatler in 1916, 'With the British Army on the Western Front'. It was a rainy, uncertain day, with flashes of sunlight brightening the landscape at intervals. At the sides of a long, straight road were standing British troops, shoulder to shoulder, company upon company, extending in one long perspective of khaki until the lines merged in the far distance. The muddy road was full of watery ruts which glinted to the passing gleams of light as the rain clouds parted. At the moment, however, it was not raining, and the men were carrying their overcoats rolled in bandolier fashion. The long lines stood waiting, the company commanders a little in advance of the men. 1989. Print. New. Moebius (Jean Giraud). Lithograph print by Moebius (Jean Giraud) on Paper. NUMBERED PRINT. Size: 11" x 24" (285mm x 615mm). A beautiful limited edition coloured version of Moebius's famous panel, The Kiss. This was printed as a limited edition with a print run of only 300. This particular print has been dedicated to a 'G. Kramer' in pencil, and bears the number 71/300. The print was originally folded in two place as was most probably part of an exclusive book edition, however it has been kept flat for several years and is in very good condition.

1971. Print. New. Maurice Sendak. Lithograph print by Maurice Sendak on Acid-free Paper. SIGNED PRINT. Size: 5" x 5" (130mm x 130mm). This is a print hand signed by Maurice Sendak with his beautifully flowing full signature. Sendak drew this illustration for a book published in 1968 called 'A Kiss for Little Bear'. The book tells the story of Little Bear who draws a picture for his grandmother. His Grandmother is so pleased with it that she gives a kiss to the hen to take back to Little Bear. The Hen passes the kiss on to various animals including the cat who jumps in the lake to get it from the frog. The kiss eventually gets passed between two skunks who fall in love with each other and the hen finally gets the kiss back to little Bear! The print has been tastefully framed and is set behind anti reflective glass. The paper has an ever so slight bend running vertically. The exterior dimensions of the frame are 300mm x 370mm.

The novel reflects the human suffering and tragic consequences experienced during the break-up of Yugoslavia. Rubber stamped and bearing all official markings and Bilal's enigmatic signature.
