REPERTOIRE: Kreuzspiel (1951; Stockhausen aged 23) is scored for oboe, bass clarinet, piano, and 3 percussionists, Kontra-Punkte (1952/53) for 10 instruments, Zeitmasze (1955/56) for 5 woodwinds, Adieu (1966) for wind quintet. CONDITION: This beautifully-recorded LP can only be graded as Very Good Minus, since - after two professional cleanings - it still has general moderate surface noise throughout, with significant popping/crackling - but without any skips or snags.
