Muskegon, MI. Near Fine with no dust jacket. 1995. Revised Edition; Third Printing. Hardcover. The L. C. Woodruff was a barkentine sailing ship that was caught in a fierce storm on Lake Michigan in 1878 and began breaking up near shore by the White River Light Station. Multiple efforts were made to save the crew, and while some drowned, most were saved. This account of the ship and its final tragedy the subject of Ceasar's book which is set in typescript and printed on only one side of each page. Original publisher's blue cloth covers with gilt spine and cover lettering. This is a nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings, no previous owner names and no bookplates. It does not appear that this book was ever released with a dust jacket, and is now uncommon. ; B&W Illustrations; 4to 11" - 13" tall; 61 pages .

William Lumpkins (1909 - 2000) a native of New Mexico, of this unusual book was an early proponent of adobe buildings as well as an artist. He provides an introduction to adobe building in the front, and provides floor plans and drawings for several adobe structures he designed. This book is unpaged, but contains 40 thick leaves (by my count), printed on one side. This is a nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings and no creases,chips or tears to the covers or to the pages; the spiral comb binding is also in good condition.
