Reprint. a very early paperback (1898) of this classic tale, opens at the title page which has an inscription, the spine has been taped with brown paper, and front cover repaired with sellotape, the last page (504) is chipped and partly secured with the brown paper (please see images), I assume that the back cover is missing, All text pages are present, an interesting, collectable early paperback, but in Fair/Poor condition overall.

Hardcover. 1st Edition. small corner bumps, otherwise VG+ clean copy with TWO dustwrappers by Val Biro, the first that came with the book is only G, with tears at the spine base and rather rubbed, but without loss, the second a Fine/Mint copy from Val Biro's own archive, a copy that has been flat-folded and never been on a book, the copy that was sent to him by the publisher..
