Description:
About this Item: Privately Printed, Florance Italy, 1928. Hardcover. Condition: Fair. Limited Edition. Lady Chatterley's Lover, Privately printed ( Florence?) Book is in fair condition with a very weak binding and quite a bit of repair work. Book text is complete with a nice title page and a limitation page preceding the text. This rare limited edition # 321/500 is a wonderful candidate for rebinding and restoration. Book is bound in back faux leather with a discernible blind stamp on the front and a very faded but readable spine label. The former owner has stamped his name, address and phone # (very old Merritt 4354) on the front paste down. Someone must have cared a great deal for this book because they spent a great deal of time and tape repairing it. Book is very rare and with the right care, could be quite a serious collectible. About this Item: Random House, New York, 2009. Hardcover. Condition: As New. Dust Jacket Condition: Fine. 1st Edition. FIRST EDITION/FIRST PRINTING book by one of America's greatest and iconic authors John Irving is in very fine condition with a very fine priced (28.00) dust jacket. In 1954, in the cook house of a logging and sawmills settlement in northern New Hampshire, an anxious twelve year old boy mistakes the local constable's girlfriend for a bear. Both the twelve year old and his father become fugitives, forced to run from Coos County to Boston, to southern Vermont, to Toronto pursued by the implacable constable. Their lone protector is a fiercely libertarian logger, once a river driver who befriends them. The story which spans five decades is a story of hatreds that are permitted to run their course. The story is also as violent and disturbing a story as John Irving's best seller, The World According to Garp. Book is as new and a great addition to any library.

Cincinnati, Ohio, 1992. Hardcover. Condition: Fine. 1st Edition. SIGNED BY AUTHOR FIRST EDITION. "Bill & Chall With all good wishes & best personal regards. Ed Hutton Cincinnati Ohio November 14, 1994" This is a very interesting autobiography written by a very special icon of the financial world. " My inspiration for this autobiography came at my father's funeral when I realized how little I knew about my ancestors, where he was reared, how and where he was educated, what he did in this world, who he was, what he thought and how his life fit in with great world events such as the Great Depression and the World WarII. In short, I seek to capture, as much as possible, the flavor of the years in which I lived so that my descendants might identify with me as a fellow human being. I think we all would like to know where we came from and like the author I also am feeling mortal and would like to know. Book is a pain- staking labor of love and very complete and well researched.
