Out of a total edition of 360 copies signed by the translator this is one of 300 numbered copies.Presentation copy from the translator, inscribed on the first blank: ''à Louis Hay - qui me met dans l'obligation de continuer au jeu du Boojum, lequel est de longtemps mort, mais, j'espère, bientôt moi aussi - amicalement Aragon.'' The recipient was a French literary theorist and one of the founders of genetic criticism. In 1976 he established the Centre d'Analyse des Manuscrits under the aegis of the Centre National de Recherche Scientifique to which Aragon bequeathed his archive, together with that of his wife Elsa Triolet.Some rubbing to spine. Very good.

Henri Delesques, Caen., 1898. First edition. Octavo. 39 pages. Wrappers. Two tissue-guarded plates, one of which is the portrait frontispiece and the other a photograph of Beau Brummell's tomb. The author recounts the final days of the dandy now penniless, and insane from syphilis. His precipitate fall from the grace was set in motion partly by a falling-out with his former close friend the Prince Regent (during which Brummell uttered the immortal phrase, ''Alvanley, who's your fat friend?'') and partly by his intemperate gambling.Covers slightly dusty with some small nicks at the edges. Very good. Scarce.

La Maison Salubra, [Basel]., 1959. First edition. Oblong folio. The short introductory text, which is illustrated with drawings by Le Corbusier, is presented in French, German and English. This is followed by 14 double-page wallpaper samples, interspersed with three colour photographs of rooms, and 20 plates showing colours available. At the rear is an acetate pocket containing two card viewing frames. Inside the rear cover is a series of colour swatches. Cloth-backed boards held with three metal rivets, the front cover being glossy and pictorial. The wallpaper company Salubra had issued a more modestly presented selection of Le Corbusier's designs in 1932.Three of the sample pages are slightly chipped to top edges. The rivets slightly affected by rust. Cloth at tail of spine just a little rubbed. Cloth a little spotted and marked. Corners a bit rubbed. Very good and difficult to find in complete condition.
